COVID-19 impact

The current COVID-19 pandemic has come to impact also our school in Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire. March 16th president Ouattara ordered all schools to close for a period of minimum 30 days. As of March 26th according to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) there were 80 registered cases however the challenge of screening is big also in this region. MSF has set up a station in Bouaké to be prepared should the number of cases increase.

The airline traffic is impacted both in Côte d’Ivoire and in Kenya and the Kenyan government has also issued restrictions to non essential gatherings, impacting the upcoming training in April. This module has been postponed to August and the teachers will remain in their homes during these turbulent times. Meanwhile our mentor calls with Shannon Honigblum will continue and this time will be devoted by our teachers to self development and home study.
