Tonight we held our first parent community meeting at a nearby village to our campus, where most of the students in our school come from. Overall it was a very positive meeting with a mutual desire for the development of a long term relationship and collaboration. The meeting started with introductions, overview of the constructions and organizational structure. Then our teachers went in depth regarding the Waldorf method of teaching and the rhythms of the year, months and days. We received excellent questions about the future development of the school, the involvement of the parents in the education and the importance of a shared responsibility of the success of the school. I am very pleased with the responsiveness and accountability of the community that has demonstrated this first week and look forward with excitement what great things we can achieve together.
