Treasurer update

Xuanhang Zhang has been part of the journey of L’Ecole Des Enfants, Inc. since it was a spore of a project in 2017 and with his great many skills and traits he was paramount in enabling the growth and fruition of the organization and our campus in Côte d’Ivoire. Xuanhang has been there in thick and thin over these past years and never wavered in his steadfast support. I treasure him dearly and words are not enough to share my gratitude for all that he has done. Now it is an absolute joy to see him taking a quantum leap in his own journey. Xuanhang has been with Schneider Electric for over a decade and one of his biggest milestones was to grow the Li-ion business from $0 to $100M in less than 4 years. Being an eagle soaring high he has accepted an enthralling offer as COO for a start up in Singapore. Any team where Xuanhang will join has really landed a gem and will be fortunate to have an incredible team player and leader with them. With all these changes Xuanhang will step down from the board and I truly wish him and his family all the best fortunes in this new endeavor. Please join me in wishing them well!

Now I am beyond exited to share that the board has unanimously voted Alison Marlow to pick up the reins of the Treasurer role with immediate effect. Alison has significant experience with nonprofit work and has also been an assistant accounting professor at Northeastern University and brings a phenomenal background and skill set to solidify our position. Alison is currently working for Schneider Electric as Global Project Manager based in Massachusett, USA. Alison will maintain her responsibilities with managing our grant portfolio as she assumes the role as Treasurer. Alison is a confidant since we were in the same cohort for our Executive MBA at D’Amore-McKim School of Business in 2013. I have a deep rooted trust and respect for Alison and she is really an incredible soul and we are fortunate to have her on our team. Please join me in welcoming Alison into the Treasure role on the board!

Warmly,

Maria Johansson
